Consider:
Since the dawning of the civil rights era, what has been required of White Americans in order to address the accusations laid against us by St MLK and his aftermath?
Constant protestation and proof --never certain acquittal-- that we have rejected our sense of superiority and that we accept Blacks as our equals.
What, on the other hand, has been required of American Blacks in this era?
Nothing. Not a damn thing.
Whites can never say to Blacks, We will change our attitudes and ways and laws and in return you must...do anything at all.
Nada.
Am I wrong?
