A minority voice

Ex Cathedra takes a rather dim view of our obsession with minorities and their issues as our de facto ruling elites.

This fella is a minority within a minority: a  gay man, another victim of Jack Donovan's sharp mind and writing, who doesn't "get" gay marriage. He has "devolved" on the issue. :)

This put a smile on my face. Men-loving men who oppose the farce of same-sex marriage are slowly but surely "coming out of the closet," to borrow the expression. Androphiles of the world, unite!

A thought occurred to me: if I were to make a blog about politics/culture, then between yourself, Jack Donovan, and I, we would be three generations of ex-Catholic homosexual men of (among other things, of course) Irish extract who have taken an interest in other religions, and have adopted non-liberal views in defiance of the broader gay culture.

A male version of the neopagan triple goddess archetype. Instead of maiden, mother, and crone, it would be youth, father, and patriarch. Hmm... The three of us living under one roof would be interesting, to say the least. ;)

Thanks for not making me a crone :)

Well how could I, seeing as you are very clearly a man? So would you be the imparting-wisdom type of grandfather, or the spoil-me type? I can just imagine how you would "spoil" a "grandson." :)

Uh-oh. Harry is flirting with both Dumbledore and Snape.

This is starting to remind me of high school. Oh the fun we had with "Crime and Punishment." "Admit it, Raskolnikov, you've been a very bad boy!" "Yes, Porfiry, I'm guilty. Punish me, Porfiry! Punish me hard!" XD

Well, I get the Dumbledore bit, but how is Ex Snape? Or are you referring to Jack as Snape? Because that I totally see.

How 'bout it, Nathan? Care to join in as "Ron"? ;)

I'm usually not this outrageous, really. Don't know what's come over me.

Yes, Mr. Donovan would be Snape. Don't know who I would be in the potterverse, tho. My real connection here is that I co-authored the /Blood-Brotherhood/ book with Jack. Maybe that makes me Gilderoy Lockhart. ;)

Sorry Nathan, did not know you were _that_ Nathan, kinda assumed you were a younger guy like myself. Must be kinda awe-inspiring having been in around him. I've only seen his photos, but that man practically has "alpha" tattooed all over his body. He must sweat testosterone.

As a point o' fact, he usu. talks about himself as a bit less than alpha, and then has friends he thinks of as more alpha which he says he learns things from.

It was a bit weird to be involved with his project(s) when the /first/ pics I saw of him were in the early 90's when he was a twenty-something gender bending performance artist, (sailing beyond beta to omega.) In a book called Trans-gressions or somesuch. Copying Bruce Lee in a fighting posture in his iconic yellow jumpsuit, but with a corset beneath that made the middle of his torso feminine shaped, but nothing else. I thought "That's different from any other cross-dress anything I've seen" and "That God I don't have to do that sort of thing." I didn't think "After this fellow has a change of philosophy, you will write a book with him," but no doubt, the Fates were chuckling nearby.

All strange, but remember, Jesus is both the Alpha and the Omega. (:P)

I probably would have difficulty convincing the public that I had explored Africa with Livingstone, rode across Asia with Genghis Khan, helped Sigurd slay the dragon, etc.
