A Charlie Brown Advent

Advent has been a favorite season of mine, and I have always enjoyed Christmas. This year, though, I find little enthusiasm for either.

I dug up two Charlie Brown Christmas specials, though, and both of them made me laugh. Charles Schultz had a genius gift for letting his children be children while exhibiting a lot of truth about our adult human condition.

Now that I think of it, of course, the difference between children and adults can be thinner than we'd like to think. After all, how different is The World from The Playground during lunch break?
