That ghost in Dr. Ben Carson’s, well, moral theology:
In discussing press coverage of newly famous Black conservative Carson's removal from being a commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins*, we have a quote of him apologizing for language he used about gay marriage that was "hurtful".
This happens all the time. Someone on the right uses rough words and some souls on the left are wounded and so the conservative apologizes for hurting their feelings.
Does this ever happen in reverse? Any regret for the oceans of printed and spoken bile that comes out of the sinister side? Any examples?
And don't get me started on Islam. In cataloging the various "scandals" of Benedict XVI's reign, the MSM bundle up "insulting Islam" with the rest. Same question: When was the last time you heard a Muslim apologize for anything Islam ever did. Ever.
*I know, Reb Rothman didn't disinvite Carson directly, but after the letter he withdrew on his own. Subtle distinctions.
