Hey Ex, as as a 50-something conservative ex-catholic guy who likes guys to a 20-something conservative semi-catholic guy who likes guys, do you have any advice on dating? Most of the guys I'm interested in are straight, and the guys who swing my way are either too effeminate, too liberal, or both. I'm kinda thinking that I need to wait until I'm on my own and join that same-sex dating site eHarmony started. Any help?
As far as dating goes, I am no expert. My attempts to actually date via online all came to nothing. But thru a much more shallow website, shall we say,I made a connection with the most likeable fella I've ever met. Aside from a few times when I've wanted to kill him, I still feel that way about him 5+ years later.
The tuffest part is avoiding the braindead gay liberalDemocrat crowd, which is huge.
Very much a question of luck IMHO. Sorry not to be more wise. And PS. Ex is actually 60-something ;(
PS. Trying to find someone who mirrors your conservative values is gonna be tuff. None of my friends do. Not one. What has worked for me is finding liberals who have the kind of character that can like you very much as a man and not need you to agree with them on everything. I think of these as like religious differences. Except nowadays politics is a religion for most liberals.
Thanks for the advice, Ex. I guess it's just a matter of patience. I can wait. And I would never have guessed you were in your 60s, you seemed a little younger to me!

There's just something about a cigar that instantly increases a man's masculinity and appeal in my eyes. I have my theories as to why...
