Cultural diversity and murder

Re the murders at the Korean school in Oakland.

Is there anything to my impression that Whites and Asians are binge killers --single gunmen taking down several people now and again-- while Latinos and Blacks are chronic killers, keeping up a steady stream of murder with not so many victims per incident?

Reminds me of the data in Stephen Pinker's Blank Slate, which pointed out that while modern warfare kills huge numbers of people, the percentage of the population which dies in wartime is very small when compared to traditional tribal societies, who maintain a low-level but constant state of war with one another, so that about a third of adults die by enemy action.

Wikipedia: "In the United States, the majority of reported and investigated serial killers are white males, from a lower-to-middle-class background, usually in their late twenties to early thirties."

Another connection between diversity and murder: prisons may segregate by race for new inmates but not established inmates. Where there is segregation in prison (past and present), there are fewer murders. The cost of diversity in prison is murder. What is the benefit?

I wouldn't be surprised if statistics show white Hispanics do a lot of binge murdering.

P.S. I'm worry'd by the possible Tendenz of the previous commenter. If segregation decreases violence in prisons, and if society is a kind of prison, then society should return to segregation? ... Right now I'm casting around futilely for arguments and observations or even a statistic or two that could support the thesis that society is not ultimately a prison. ...
