As Yogi warned

...it's dangerous to make predictions, especially about the future.

But this would be a consummation devoutly to be wished.

One of Will's phrases.

Americans have to really really disapprove of a president (e.g. one associated with "malaise" and having to drive only 55 mph) before they will jump ship against an incumbent president. Disinclination to approve isn't serious disapproval.

To dislodge an incumbent president, you need a really really appealing alternative (and neither Romney nor Ginrich is that). Even the totally telegenic excellent campaigner BIll Clinton had to be help'd out by Ross Perot.

Americans who detested Barack Obama in 2008 merely detest him more; they may cast their vote against him with more animus this time, but the voting machines register quantity of votes, not intensity of votes.

Unless the president makes some huge mistake/s before November, the Republicans got zilch.
