Clausewitz updated

The famous military strategist's often quoted line is that "war is the continuation of politics by other means." I wonder if he got it umgekehrt and really "politics is the continuation of war by other means"?

The "LGBT" "take-no-prisoners war for complete and utter societal acceptance at any price because anyone who disagrees with our current agenda is a contemptible Nazi" continues.

I hear that the Mayor of Boston promises to prevent the Chick-fil-A fast food chain from befouling his fair city with their evil discriminatory attitudes because they support anti-gay-marriage organizations. Diversity is apparently not a strength but a blasphemy when it comes to ideas. Welcome to 2012 America.

For the crime of rejecting a boycott of this business as a useful form of cultural dialogue, an Evangelical minister has now been outed, with self-serving protestations of pain and regret, by a fellow Christian "friend" for the sake of "authenticity and transparency". I wonder if said friend will be paid in thirty pieces of chicken.

The wrathful victimist energy in liberal Protected Groups really knows no bounds and, like egalitarian progressivism itself, has no internal limiting factor. It is war. In the end, the victims grow more and more totalitarian. And I am sure they cannot see it at all. Talk about enantiodromia.
