I did my psychology degree at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. I was of a different mind about many things back then. God, twenty years ago. Unbelievable. I enjoyed the experience very much, though.
But the man I am now could not tolerate the place.
This was part of a mailing I got today...

How they manage to keep up that beautiful campus when clearly not a single graduate can make any money with those degrees to send some donations back - is beyond me.

The Jungian psychology sounds interesting. Maybe because I'm a literary type, and archetype is intuitive to me. That was his big thing, right? To think of people like readers and authors thing about characters and character types makes sense to me.
Maybe why that's why I have such an interest in mythology. The pagan gods are certainly not objects of worship to me, but symbols and tangible expression of roles and types. I'm especially interested in how the same roles-and the gender of the roles- change from culture to culture, and what that says about the people who worshipped them. War deities are particularly interesting. From the Greek Ares and Athena, to the Roman Bellona and Mars, to the Celtic Morrigan.
