Watched "The Thing from Another World" in a film class I took this past fall to fill an English elective. I was definitely struck by Kenneth Tobey. The "bondage" scene was unexpected and appreciated. And it was nice to see military men painted as intelligent, rather than the braindead killers or robots leftist filmmakers like to portray them as. If I had my druthers, men (and the exceptional women) like that would be the only ones making the big decisions.
