One day I asked the bored, black faces staring back at me: "What would happen if all the white people in America disappeared tomorrow?"
"We screwed," a young, pitch-black boy screamed back. The rest of the blacks laughed.

... I was marvelling at Bill Clinton's enthusiasm for LBJ's achievements for equality in his NYT review of Robert Caro's 'The Passage of Power: The Years of Lyndon Johnson.'
Isn't the verdict of critical-theory hierophants that the Great Society has been a failure? so that America today is a nightmare of white racism, white sexism, and white homophobia [sc low-class whites' failure to fear slave revolt in morality because this opens the possibility of real noble-base distinction]? ... And don't conservatives deem America today a mess of entrench'd government programmes that have ruin'd the vitality and freedom of the American people and done little or nothing to build real equality?
But as President Clinton is a noted exegete of the word "is," I was reminded of Heidegger's enthusiasm for the "strange word" of Heraclitus: »all' ôsper sarma eikê kechumenôn ho kallistos kosmos« (Frg 124). The most beautiful world is like rubbish heap'd randomly [or as a likeness eike for there ekei]. (An Introduction to Metaphysics, 133/ Ger 102).
And again, »the unmanifest harmony stronger than the manifest harmony« Frg 54. ibid.
America's world today has not resulted unintentionally from good intentions, but is the result of a plan'd but unmanifest 'harmony' (daughter of Ares and Aphrodite, or Nergal and Ishtar)? Is that possible? ... Maybe America's unmanifest harmony and beautiful unmanifest kosmos or ordering means there's no need for Islamic traditionalism to impose harmony and order?
Along this line, perhaps the most important remark of Mr Clinton ("a deeply traditional[ist] man" according to HRC) is that LBJ gain'd support for the Grate Society from the "traditionalist" on grounds that it was "the Establishment Choice."
Establishment: East (dawning of new aion etc; semi- 'is' dawns in east and gets negated or hated in west into nothingness, sc non-being) Abel (vanity, emptiness) for L.S.'s portion (js4521 cf Psalm 63:9f) ?
Choice: haste sc hates, agenda for hating, negation? js2363, 2439 ?
