My apparently annual kitchen floor refinishing
Sept 2011, sans Sonny the Cat (RIP)
Sept 2010
Historical note. When I moved in here in 1992, this was the state of the floor: decrepit linoleum. After several years, finally got the landlord to agree to the hardwood upgrade
(by offering to kick in $500 to the project!).

nice floor. was it only cost sharing that convinced the landlord, or did you have to offer to disrupt his income stream? enquiring minds want to know.
Just cost sharing. I make a point of keeping a cordial relationship with him. Been 19 years now. So when I call him for the occasional repair, etc. he is happy to oblige. I'm an easy tenant. We both like it that way.
