One of the truths about the internet is that you can lie all day long. Brad Paisley has a funny video about it, where he's "so much cooler on line."
I got a note from an admirer, a 26 year old from Trenton, NJ...who just happened to look identical to Alex Baresi, a 6'1" Italian porn star that I just happened (really!) to recognize. Mr. Trenton is probably a nun.
And although I am no fan of the doctrine of re-incarnation, if I could come back as Alex...well, I might have to reconsider. How do you improve on perfetto?

Yeah. It's shame, ain't it.
Although I'd still like to give some of those I've yet to meet in-person the benefit of the doubt ... various developments have taught me that internet personas and those who create them will invariably be willfully fraudulent and/or stubbornly delusional.
It would be nice if everyone were as open and genuine and truly *sincere* as I am, or as you seem to be.
But that's a Solipsistic Fantasy.
Most humans don't seem to have the balls or true self-awareness to be anything other than completely full of shit.
At least when dealing with them in the real world ... you've got a better chance of seeing the lies, because they're often etched all over their very flesh.
In person ... judging a book by its cover can be far more reliable than doing so by merely skimming its synopsis on Amazon.
