Reports of Anti-Gay Crimes Rose 26 Percent in 2013, Advocates Say - Midtown - DNAinfo.com New York:
The "anti-gay" violence includes attacks on trannies. My rejection of the LGBTQ thingy remains intact.
And the report piously regrets in hushed tones that all three NYC murder victims were... "people of color."
It fails to mention that all three murderers belong to the same sacred category.
Crime in America is massively disproportionate within the NAM "people of color" realm.

Ms Coulter opines once more
About the half-Asian immigrant who killed a bunch of people in Santa Barbara.

Rodger’s “manifesto” reads like Nikolai Gogol’s “Diary of a Madman“—generally recognized as the first description of schizophrenia, except it’s a little repetitive and not well-written, no matter what that “tech guru” says.
I’m one of the few who have read all 141 pages. It is a tale of increasing delusions, paranoia, hallucinations and wild, grandiose self-assessments. In other words, it is a slightly less whiny version of Obama’s first inaugural address.

Bygone daze
I loved this movie, The Jewel of the Nile, and I loved dancing to this song, --I'm a sucker for a bank of saxes--and the make-me-smile video that went with it: Turner, DeVito and Douglas doing such a great playful riff on the backup.
Very 80's.
Very 80's.
An Exception to the Ru
No fan of drag queens am I, but I have to admit that Mr Ru Paul can sometimes almost redeem his kind. Referring to some kind of drama queen PC tempest in the LGBTQ teapot of late, he tweeted this:
"My intention is always to come from a place of love,
but sometimes you just gotta break it down for a motherf%ker."
ExCathedra's philosophy, in a nutshell..,

Hmmm
a. The right of kings to rule by divine mandate.
b. The equality of every person and culture.
For which theory has there been more empirical evidence?

Ab origine
Watching one of the original Star Trek episodes, I see that their streak of progressive moralism was as blindingly stupid in 1967 as it was twenty years later. We have Gene Roddenbury to thank.

Remembrance of things past
Thinking about my mother's funeral Mass upcoming this summer, I am having anticipatory ennui.
The Vatican II funeral rites are mostly a wordy pablum at the best of times. Thinking about the music that will somehow infect the ritual makes me not want to go at all.
I don't remember much about the music at my sister's 2004 funeral except that it was horrible. Caterwauling women with a vibrato organist. And not discretely hidden in the choir loft, as in saner days of yore, but right up front where we can experience the trainwreck without cushion or veil.
My dad's and my uncle's Masses in 2009 were likewise festivals of 80's sentimental St Louis Jesuit style schlock and cliche US Evangelical jabberwocky. On Eagle's Wings. Amazing Grace. How Great Thou Art. Testaments to the utter dissolution of Catholicism. I remember thinking that my decision to leave the priesthood was a good one, because I would otherwise have been regularly subjected to this crap for the last thirty years. In context, even Schubert's Ave Maria was a relief.
Is it even worth it to try to find musicians who could play and sing at her funeral without making me want to drive chopsticks into my ears?

The parish church is a beautiful Tudor style building

Sunday thought crimes
Four rabbis indicted in New Jersey on kidnapping charges: Muscular Judaism. Torturing men into divorcing their wives. Now that's some halakah.
Papal bloviating about Israel and the Palestinians. (Tautology?)
This little guy will have a record now, for what he saw in a cloud. In a female dominated school system, maleness is proscribed.
Liberals want everyone to have whatever they want, courtesy of the State, as long as whatever they want is what liberals want them to have.

PS. Speaking of crimes, the Hannibal season finale was brilliant. The writers riff on the books in a very arresting way.

Randoming back at home
Hannibal is much improved this season. More focus on the love/hate relationship between Hannibal and Will and less on the victims and Jack. And the visuals and atmosphere are grippingly creepy. Cannibal cuisine shot in detail.
A friend told me of a movie where a man accomplishes private justice when the public system lets the rapist-murderer of his wife and daughter go free. The private justice is gruesome. For some reason this friend thinks that would appeal to me. Can't imagine why.
My theory that modern liberalism is the child of Christianity, not merely of the Enlightenment, is apparently held by a scholar of history. We owe it ultimately to St Paul. My online White pagan and Nietzschean acquaintances hate Christianity for this reason, its egalitarian universalism.
Game of Thrones continues to be interesting only insofar as Tyrion the dwarf is involved.
In the wake of my mother's death, I am once again the owner of a car. A 3000-mile-away car, but wheels nonetheless. First time since the disastrous year of 2010. To sell it or to keep it, that is the question.
Grief has a staccato rhythm.

Liberalism in a sentence or two or three
White (male) self-hatred as a mark of moral superiority: "I'm proud of the fact that I think my people deserve to be erased."
Whatever was once disapproved is now to betolerated worshipped adoringly as unspeakably sacrosanct, noble and obviously true, heroic and utterly admirable: mixed-race relationships*, gay marriage, giving birth out of wedlock, Black (Democrat) "empowerment", homosexual football players, illegal aliens, transgender soldiers, etc. All these become the New Gold Standard, the highest ethical condition, beyond question and to be admired and promoted.
Egalitarianism as a path to higher status.
*The presence of mixed-race couples in advertizing is nothing short of astonishing. Message: Whites have the duty to marry non-Whites. Wiping out your Whiteness is the eschatological goal of liberal virtue.
And virtue is what it's all about, virtue as power and status.

Minor irritations
In the process of my mom's death, two very enlightened liberal types managed to make me shake my head.
The local woman who brought Communion to her every Sunday, a very nice person of the Vatican II generation, corrected my use of "last rites" in referring to the final sacrament of anointing and laying on of hands. The woman knows my history and yet she could not refrain from instructing me that "we now call it the sacrament of the sick."
So much of liberality is compulsively and schoolmarmishly correcting everyone's not-up-to-date-lingo. Arrogant and controlling.
A family member who is also in favor of compassion and care and laws and taxes and everything else for the hordes of color, took a cheap swipe at the religion of the non-White Filipina who heroically cared for my mother in her last year. In the midst of praising this extraordinarily patient and kind woman, this person still could not refrain from trashing the faith that is a part of her motivation.
Open-mindedness and love of diversity.
Yeah.
PS. Another family member opined that we ought not to direct memorial gifts to a Catholic organization my mom donated to all her life because "some people" might not feel comfortable donating to a Catholic organization. When I asked what this meant, it was pointed out by the speaker that their workplace was Jewish.
I refrained from exploding by shutting up. How many Jews do you know who would erase their mother's religion in order to avoid offending Gentile strangers? Would Muslims divert funds away from their charities to avoid upsetting kaffirs?
If you don't want to give to a family's religious charity, then don't.
It's the same instinct to self-erasure that has made so simple and bonding a thing as a "Merry Christmas" greeting a matter for weighty consideration.
The collapse of the West, right here in my own family.

America RIP, continued
WCBM TALKRADIO AM 680:

In a preview of what amnesty holds in store for the rest of America’s middle class and lower income workers, Chicago is putting illegal immigrants in the job pool ahead of many citizen students who would also like to have the opportunity
In much the same way they or their parents were rewarded for violating American immigration law and given preference over those who lined up to immigrate legally, Chicago is offering internships, volunteer and job opportunities to illegal alien “dreamers.”

I can relate
A modern pope gets old school on the Devil - The Washington Post:
'via Blog this'
" ...the Rev. Cesar Truqui, an exorcist based in Switzerland, recounted one experience he had aboard a Swissair flight. “Two lesbians,” he said, had sat behind him on the plane. Soon afterward, he said, he felt Satan’s presence. As he silently sought to repel the evil spirit through prayer, one of the women, he said, began growling demonically and threw chocolates at his head. Asked how he knew the woman was possessed, he said that “once you hear a Satanic growl, you never forget it. It’s like smelling Margherita pizza for the first time. It’s something you never forget.”"Too funny, on several levels.

Thoughts
A multi-ethnic nation-state* is a very risky proposition.
A multi-racial nation-state is insane.
---
*Any state is a risky proposition, like human life itself. But as I have been thinking lately, a nation with a unified race and culture --pretty inseparable phenomena, I think-- has to manage inevitable tragedy, while a "multicultural" nation inevitably invites catastrophe.

Camp of the Saints, next episode
700 migrants rush at Spain's border, 140 breach it - Yahoo News:
Of course, if Euros (and Americans) had balls, they'd shoot. And that would put an end to this.
It's all lack of will and nerve.
With this group, and all others like it, unless they have the certainty of your violent response, and disproportionate violence at that, they will eventually overcome you. Your failure to over-react will be read as weakness --which it is-- and will just embolden them.
People who think that civilized societies can be protected by civilized means know no history. And no human nature.
Those angry "racist" mobs we have been trained so to condemn were actually the first response of a healthy immune system to an invading virus.
The humanitarian Whites will die along with their scruples and the Coloreds will laugh at them in contempt.
And they'll deserve it.
